Coparenting Effectively Post-Separation
Overview of Course
This workshop is suitable for parents, lawyers and mental health practitioners who work with separating and divorcing families. *Lawyers may earn substantive professional development hours and social workers may complete continuing education credits by taking this workshop.
This workshop will focus on how children are negatively affected by post-separation conflict between parents and the specific skills that parents can acquire to effectively coparent. Discussions will relate to post-separation decision-making responsibility, parenting principles, children’s care transitions, communication between parents and how post-separation disputes may either be avoided or resolved quickly and effectively.
