Before you actually start the mediation process, I will ask you to sign my mediation contract which you will have either reviewed on this web site or which I will give to you during your individual session with me.

In the mediation contract I have set out important information that you must read and agree to before you begin the mediation process.

I am a neutral person who will not "side" with either one of you.

My role is to facilitate a discussion between both of you and to help you create your own solution to your conflict.

In my role as a mediator, I am able to provide you with a great deal of information, including information about the current state of the law, however, I cannot provide you with any legal advice, despite that fact that I am trained as a lawyer.

I have no power or authority to impose a solution on you, but rather guide you through discussions which hopefully, will ultimately result in an agreement.
